The Sassenach Blended Scotch Whisky is produced in Scotland by Sassenach Spirits, part of the Great Glen Company founded by Sam Heughan and Alex Norouzi. Blended by Master Blender Michael Henry, it combines single malts aged 9 to 12 years with a 20-year-old single grain Scotch whisky, with some of the malts finished in madeira casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV in 750 mL format.
This wonderful concoction is accompanied by notes of citrus fruits, orange peel, honey, apricots, cocoa, butter cream, ripe peaches, and lays heavily on the floral side. The fruitiness and floral notes are emboldened on the somewhat thick and complex palate with notes of orange zest, honey, vanilla, cinnamon, slight oakiness, and cracked pepper which balances out the sweetness beautifully.
