The Okinawa Islands, produced under the ONERUM brand, is a blended rum made from brown sugar sourced from eight Okinawan islands: Aguni, Ie, Iheya, Iriomote, Kohama, Tarama, Hateruma and Yonaguni. Distilled using the dunder brewing method, it incorporates residual liquid from previous distillations. ONERUM yeast, isolated from Mizuho Brewery’s sugarcane fields, is used in fermentation. Bottled at 40% ABV, this 720ml release is priced at around $20.
