Fortitude Bourbon, Templeton's inaugural bourbon release and its first onsite distilled offering, is produced in Templeton, Iowa. Its mashbill features local corn, sourced through collaboration with farms within a 15-mile radius of the distillery. Aged in new, charred American oak barrels.

House Review
  • Nose:

    Light, sweet nose. Candy corn, light oak, tiramisu, cinnamon, powdered sugar, corn flakes.

  • Taste:

    Medium mouthfeel. Oak, caramel, cherries, a big pop of orange, frosting and cappuccino. Rye is fairly prominent here.

  • Finish:

    Medium finish. The rye continues. Pepper, clove, powdered sugar, orange, cherry, oak and char.

  • Overall:

    A solid start for Templeton’s own distillate. It’s light and fairly balanced with a big pop of citrus. Some good potential here for sure.
