Teeling Wonders of Wood 3 is a single pot still Irish whiskey made from a mash of 50% malted and 50% unmalted barley, triple distilled at Teeling’s Dublin distillery. This limited release matured entirely in virgin Swedish oak casks and is bottled at 50% ABV with no chill filtration. Part of the Wonders of Wood series, it supports native tree planting in Ireland in partnership with the Tree Council of Ireland.
This is the most attractive of the series to date, with the new oak profile complementing its single pot still character. Flavors of caramel chocolate bars, gingersnap, vanilla, ice cream wafer, ground almond, and nutmeg.
Toasted oak flavors stay present throughout your tasting experience and appear overall to show fewer notes of vanilla and baking spices than American oak.
