Teeling Pineapple Rum Cask is a blended Irish whiskey made at the Teeling Whiskey Company distillery in Dublin. The whiskey starts as Teeling's Small Batch blend, initially matured in ex-bourbon and ex-Central American rum casks, then given a further 12 month finish in casks that previously held Plantation's Stiggins' Fancy Pineapple Rum. It is bottled at 49.2% ABV and sells for around 45 to 55 euros or pounds per 700ml bottle.
Again, there’s that clear mixture of the Small Batch and funky rum, while the mouthfeel is rather thick and somewhat oily. A slight spiciness highlighted by cracked black peppercorns.
