Released in October 2025 by Teeling Irish Whiskey in partnership with the University of Notre Dame, this single malt celebrates both the 10th anniversary of the opening of the modern Teeling Distillery in Dublin and the iconic 1977 Notre Dame v. USC “Green Jersey” game, in which the Fighting Irish defeated the Trojans 49-19 and won their 10th national title. It's being released just in time for a rematch of that game, as USC and Notre Dame will clash Oct. 18 in South Bend.
Bottled at 92 proof, this whiskey was aged 16 years and finished in Italian Marsala wine casks. Only 1,500 bottles are available, each coming with a suggested retail price of $350.

Loads of fortified wine character blasts through on the nose. It's very nutty and a little rubbery and smoky, with some dried fruit character (raisin, fig). I'm into it.
Nutty and interesting palate. Smoke, walnuts, pecans, balsamic vinegar, sautéed mushrooms, which soon give way to a more traditional dessert wine profile (think port).
The finish is smoky and rubbery, with notes of fig, dried cranberry and raisins.
A tasty whiskey with a very distinctive flavor profile.
