  • Enjoyable, complex and fun, this pour shows complexity without overwhelming oak and also highlights a finishing cask we don’t often see.

  • Nose:

Fruit-forward and rich on the nose. Apple, pears, honey, some pound cake and a beautiful almond and brioche note.

  • Taste:

Pleasant palate. Peach rings and honey lead, followed by a touch of nougat, honey, toffee and some light pepper. Moderate oak structure, a good bit going on. Moderate mouthfeel.

  • Finish:

Long finish, full of peach rings from top to bottom. Honey, caramel, peach, tobacco and maple meet that brioche and almond character from the nose.

  • Overall:

This is a very nice release! Enjoyable, complex and fun, this pour shows complexity without overwhelming oak and also highlights a finishing cask we don’t often see.

  • Score:

    88
