Tapatio Reposado is one of my favorite reposados and for good reason. Balancing barrel and agave nicely, this expression is an ideal sipper, or premium cocktail ingredient.
Tapatio Blanco isn’t terribly complex, and the Reposado is equally simple and straightforward, but well designed. Curious chocolate and jalapeno pepper notes linger on the nose long after you’ve sipped your last.

House Review
Nose:
Rich and sweet on the nose, peach, pepper, some soil and honey are quite prominent. Lightly fruity, a hint of cinnamon, faint oak.
Taste:
Rich on the palate. Oak is pretty noticeable at first - sweet brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, honey. This pairs nicely with the agave character, toasty, earthy notes like slate, minerality, some pepper and a bit of ash.
Finish:
Medium finish. A bit of spice, char and pepper on the tongue. Faint bitterness on the back palate, pairs nicely with the sweet cream, fruits and barrel notes on the palate.
Overall:
Tapatio Reposado is one of my favorite reposados and for good reason. Balancing barrel and agave nicely, this expression is an ideal sipper, or premium cocktail ingredient.
