The signature expression from Strathisla Distillery located in the Speyside region of Scotland. It is distilled in copper stills and aged for 12 years .
Nosing passes pick up very dry cereal and grain notes with background scents of newly tanned leather and paraffin. Palate entry is strong, structured, malty sweet, oaky and baking spicy; midpalate includes lovely flavors of light peat smoke, sweet grain, honey, Sherry, figs and yellow cherries. Ends up stately, elegant, firm and grainy sweet. An underrated and overlooked gem.
