It’s a funky twist on American whiskey that everyone should try for themselves before making a judgment call on this unique brand. House Review
Nose:
Sweet honey, rising bread, buttery bisquits, toffee and slivered almonds. Plenty going on, none of it youthful or weird. I'm into it.
Taste:
Thin to medium mouthfeel. Sweet cream, brown sugar, a touch of sesame seed, sourdough, creme brulee and bread pudding.
Finish:
Medium finish, toasted marshmallows, caramel, creme brulee, a touch of minerality and a nice, oaky, quality.
Overall:
Overall, this is impressive for an entry level, NAS single malt and Stranahan's knows how to nail the profile and deliver something that's rock solid.
