Springbank 21 Year Old Single Malt Whisky is produced in Campbeltown, Scotland, and has an ABV of 46%. It is composed of 55% sherry and 45% port casks, with a limited release of 3,600 bottles worldwide.
Dark chocolate joins the party on the palate along with crushed peanuts. The whiskey is fairly slick on your palate and finishes on the dry side with more wood influences like vanilla and cinnamon.
This whisky is almost too clean – especially for a Springbank. But you may like it because of that. If you’re after a sweeter whisky, don’t add any water. If you’d prefer it to be a bit drier, add a touch of water. It’s a good whisky, a very nice whisky. However, it’s a bit too sterile for my liking of a Springbank.
