Silk Velvet Sour Mash Whiskey Small Batch Select

Silk Velvet Small Batch Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon was first created in Henderson, Kentucky, before Prohibition, and revived more than 100 years later by the Hargis family with the assistance of master distiller Jacob Call. It is produced by Western Kentucky Distilling in Hartford, Kentucky, and distilled by Call, with blending by Call and the Hargis family.

The 2025 release, debuted at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival in Bardstown, is the first blended Small Batch Select, combining 12 barrels from two mashbills. Four barrels aged 6.5 years with 78% corn, 13% winter rye and 9% 6-row malted barley. Eight barrels aged 4.5 years with 71% corn, 20% winter rye and 9% 6-row malted barley. Barrels were charred #4. The bourbon is bottled at 53.5% ABV.
