Shibui Pure Malt, produced in Niigata, Japan, is made from 100% malted barley and fermented with yeast. It is double distilled in copper pot stills, then aged along the Sea of Japan coast. Maturation takes place in American ex-bourbon barrels and European Oloroso sherry casks, followed by a finish in Japanese Mizunara oak. The whisky is non-chill filtered and bottled at 43% ABV.
