Sheringham Kazuki Gin is a Canadian contemporary gin produced on Vancouver Island by Sheringham Distillery. Inspired by springtime and a fusion of Eastern and Western botanicals, it is made with juniper, coriander, grapefruit peel, yuzu, green tea and Japanese cherry blossoms. Bottled at 43% ABV in 700 ml format, it typically retails for about £39, or roughly $50.
According to producer information, it offers a herbaceous, citrus and floral profile, with notes of grapefruit and yuzu layered over green tea and cherry blossom.
The gin has a spicy finish with coriander and citrus lingering on the palate. The juniper comes back just a little reminding us again that this truly is gin, although not necessarily London Dry.
