4 Years, 6 Months
Distilled by an undisclosed producer in Bardstown, Kentucky, and aged four years and six months, this whiskey spent three months in Jacksonville, Florida, enduring an "FL Summer" finish in toasted French oak and ex-bourbon maple syrup barrels. Distilled from a mashbill of 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley, this is the fifth release in Seelbach's Private Reserve series. One thousand and sixty-four bottles were released.

Rich and toasty nose full of french oak spice, maple, cinnamon, nutmeg and a touch of brioche sweetness.
A bit boozy on the palate and loaded with maple, toffee, crème brûlée notes and a hint of corn, cinnamon and cracked pepper. There’s a hint of youth that peeks here and there, but it nails this french toast profile nicely without leaning too sweet, too boozy or unnaturally syrupy.
Long finish, easily the best component of this pour. It's full of cinnamon, nutmeg, sweet maple and a rich tobacco character.
Lovely stuff. This pour brings the complexity and experimentation I love to see from Seelbach’s releases and also releases them at a price point that makes them much more accessible to many drinkers. While we don’t rate on price here, it’s a component worth calling out in contrast to Seelbach’s first several releases, which were absolute beasts but priced in multiple of this bottle. If French toast is your profile, your shelf demands this bottle.
