Sangar Rum is an organic rum made from freshly pressed sugarcane juice, with no additives or preservatives. It is inspired by traditional Liberian "Cane-juice" and sourced from local smallholder farmers. A percentage of proceeds from each bottle supports economic development projects in Nimba County, Liberia.
Tastewise, I would have preferred something released at a higher proof, because the profile was mild instead of forceful, slightly muddled instead of really crisp — and while that will allow anyone to drink it neat without an issue, it also muted the flavours, almost losing some, that could have used a little beefing up.
