  • Nose:

Heavy honey, orange peel, sweet buttercream, a tickle of pepper and lovely, rich sweetness.

  • Taste:

Big and rich on the palate, plenty of sweet oak and honey. Candied oranges, ginger, toffee and tobacco with some almond and toffee dance on the palate.

  • Finish:

Long finish, heavy in baking spice, sweet oak and lovely vanilla bean, caramel and butterscotch.

  • Overall:

It's been some time since I've seen a Russell's miss and this is a favorite of recent barrels I've tried. Great stuff!

  • Score:

    88
