Rieger Caffè Amaro is a coffee liqueur made in collaboration with Kansas City-based coffee roasters Thou Mayest, using single-origin Sumatra coffee. The liqueur undergoes brief aging in a whiskey barrel. It has an ABV of 31% and comes in a 750ml bottle. The base spirit is a grain neutral spirit distilled from corn. Botanicals include juniper berries, cardamom, orange peel, star anise, spearmint leaves, gentian and vanilla beans. Each bottle contains approximately 467mg of caffeine, roughly the equivalent of five cups of coffee. Released in August 2016, it is available year round.
