Produced with a mashbill containing 45% winter wheat, Redemption's take on wheated bourbon comes bottled at 48% ABV and a very approachable combination of affordability and availability - it's available in nearly every market in the U.S. with a sub-$50 price tag. Let's dive in.
It offers soft vanilla, walnut, and gentle floral notes on the palate, and a lingering, warming finish. Redemption's first wheated bourbon is a highly enjoyable addition to the line.
No major off notes in here, but then there’s not much of anything in here. It’s so light and ethereal it just vaporizes before it fully registers with the senses.
Overall, this wheated bourbon bottled by Redemption is a sleeper on the shelf and a great buy all day long. It's full of flavor, proofed well for a wide variety of drinkers, and a reminder that good whiskey doesn't have to rip your head off.

House Review
Nose:
Sweet and easy on the nose, approachable and full of honey, baking spice, butterscotch and a touch of vanilla bean.
Taste:
On the palate, the 48% ABV is drinking really pleasantly. It's pleasant, viscous, and has plenty of layers, while not proofy or punishing. Tons of caramel, icing, sweet oak and a touch of cinnamon on the back palate.
Finish:
Dangerously sippable, the finish is soft and complex. There's plenty going on, and it fades nicely. Not terribly long, but it's full of graham cracker, sweet butterscotch, more honey and a touch of creme brulee.
