  • This is a spicy, high-proof expression, and a few drops of water can help open it up. However one drinks it, it's a superb whiskey.

  • Lovely and rich. Not exceptional but it’s delightfully complex and a profile you’ll be hard pressed to find in another bottling, especially from Ireland.

  • Nose:

Nutty, red berries, sweet cream and honey. Praline, cinnamon, lovely raisin bread character.

  • Taste:

Sweet and tangy on the palate. Lime zest, honey, red berries. Cream, vanilla bean. The Ruby Port is unmistakable, bringing bright, jammy fruits to a peach ring Irish whiskey profile. Surprisingly restrained oak profile for the age.

  • Finish:

Long finish, filled with peach rings, strawberries and cream and some pepper.

  • Overall:

Lovely and rich. Not exceptional but it’s delightfully complex and a profile you’ll be hard pressed to find in another bottling, especially from Ireland.
