It’s obscenely good, but it’s hard for me to call anything priced at $250 a great value so let me put it this way. If you’re looking for one of the best examples of Irish whiskey out there and you happen to have a budget of $250 then I would highly recommend this.
This is a very good Irish whiskey. It blossoms with the developed fruit notes and sweet notes that it provides. The age is apparent as you drink this whiskey as the notes are developed and well refined. This is a special occasion whiskey that should be shared with friends.
The 12 is just such a massive whiskey already that the extra age simply doesn’t change things as much as it otherwise might. Either way, Redbreast fanatics should give it a try before deciding whether the extra age merits more than twice the price.

House Review
Nose:
Huge brown butter, toffee, rising dough, apples, strudel brown sugar, maple and cinnamon. Oh man.
Taste:
Moderate mouthfeel thats pure caramel apple, with brown sugar, light tobacco and a sweat bready character in tow.
Finish:
Long, syrupy, rich and lovely finish. Maple, cocoa, apple cinnamon and a touch of toffee. Pure dessert without becoming cloying, with tons of sweetness, oak and spice, to stay interesting.
Overall:
21 years and Redbreast look good together. This apple pie festival of decadence is hard to ignore. Killer release.
