Rare Saint Straight Wheated Bourbon is produced by the Huse Culinary Group from Indianapolis and sourced from MGP Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. It uses an unusually high wheat content mash bill of 51% corn, 45% wheat and 4% malted barley, which is two to three times the wheat content of most wheated bourbons. The bourbon is bottled at 60.8% ABV and priced around $70.
This is a bourbon that will cater to enthusiasts and novices alike. I think it has enough complexity to please an experienced drinker that wants something different. I also think it will appeal to new enthusiasts who typically gravitate towards wheated bourbons in the beginning while they get acclimated to the taste of rye in a mash bill.
