Rampur Double Cask is a non-age-stated Indian single malt whisky produced by Rampur Distillery. Made from 100% malted barley, it is matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The whisky is non-chill filtered and bottled at 45% ABV.
If you're not drinking Indian whisky you should. This is absolutely delightful. While in the style of a Scotch, there are flavors coming through here that you won't find as commonly in Scotch. It's also remarkably drinkable. I'd take this whisky over diamonds any day.
A truly impressive single malt from the Indian distillers. Rampur actually did a very good job with this whisky. The balance throughout the tasting is very much satisfactory and lingering at the back palate is sublime.
