  • Interesting but not exceptional, but it's easy to enjoy, with plenty going on. It's off the beaten path, fruity, creamy, approachable.

  • This bourbon is a solid value at 30 bucks a bottle, though its lack of depth and nuance make it best suited as a cocktail ingredient vs. a solo sipper.

  • This is actually a pretty enjoyable bourbon, and it’s main sin (if you can even call it that) is it’s simplicity.

  • The subtle blend gives off just enough of the wood and the sweetness on the nose really mellows out in the glass to a nice smooth finish.

Raided Score is a conversion from an external site's score, to our in house uniform scoring system. Please see the FAQ for more.

  • Nose:

Rich toffee, apple pie, pastry and honey. Honey roasted pecans, light tobacco, some pepper and sweet butter cream.

  • Taste:

Thin to medium on the palate. Sweet buttercream, honeydew fruit, light papaya, some peppercorn and tobacco. Not wildly complex, but there's plenty going on. Heat is well placed, viscosity is consistent and drinks very nicely. Well proofed, I wish more releases viewed 45% ABV as their floor.

  • Finish:

Long finish, sweet, fruity, nutty, a touch of pipe tobacco. Interesting and rich, it drinks well for the age and could easily pass for a bourbon much older.

  • Overall:

Interesting but not exceptional, but it's easy to enjoy, with plenty going on. It's off the beaten path, fruity, creamy, approachable.

  • Score:

    85
