Lively, springy juniper, orange peel, coriander, beeswax, propolis, brown sugar and clover honey on the nose.
Warm honey leads the sweet entry, followed by notes of orange oil, lemon peel, violet and vanilla sugar. The midpalate offers propolis and beeswax, echoing the cozy aromas found on the nose.
It shows a touch of black pepper heat at the back of the throat, but quickly mellows into creamy whipped honey before concluding with notes of tingly juniper, pine sap, herbal heather and violet.
Floral and sweet, Plymouth Honey is a welcome addition to the brand's focused lineup. At 41.2% ABV, it offers more heft than many flavored gins and keeps the sweetness from becoming cloying. It shines in a Bee's Knees and works equally well in a French 47 or an icy Tom Collins. Garnish with your citrus of choice and enjoy!
