Plantation Fiji 2009 is a limited Vintage Collection release distilled at South Pacific Distillery from molasses fermented 4 to 5 days, using both pot and column stills. The rum aged 7 years in 200-liter ex-bourbon casks in Fiji, then 2 years in 350-liter Ferrand casks in France.

  • There’s a 3g/liter sugar dosage here, which adds a significant sweetness that purists may not appreciate, but damn if it doesn’t work.

  • Plantation Fiji 2009 it’s quite unique, and the more I have it the more it grows on me, I’ll have to be honest, the balance might be a bit off, giving the sting that I got after the first sip, but if you give your mouth some time to accommodate with it, you can get past that and find a nice savory juice.
