Pinhook Bourbondini is distilled at Castle & Key Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, and blended by Pinhook Co-Founder and Master Blender Sean Josephs. The bourbon uses a mash bill of 75% corn, 15% rye and 10% malted barley, and is aged for over 3 years. It's bottled at 50% ABV and sells for around $35.
The signs of youth are gone, instead replaced with a more robust, rich honey base that’s complemented by fruit, floral, sweet, and rye spice attributes. It drinks well under its 100 proof point, delivering a delicate mouthfeel but still maintaining a nice lingering rye spice in the finish.
