Pinhook
57.2%
9 Years
Released in September 2024, this is the sixth of nine planned bourbon releases under Pinhook's Vertical Series. Each year, Pinhook releases a new Vertical bourbon and rye, and each year the bottling grows a year in age, allowing consumers to examine the effects of age. This year's release is blended from 100 barrels and is distilled from a mashbill of 75% corn, 20.5% rye and 4.5% malted barley.

Smooth, sweet and chocolatey on the nose. Chocolate malt balls, almonds, shaved coconut, cherry, cinnamon
The mouthfeel isn’t crazy viscous, but it coats the mouthfeel really nicely. The predominant note on the palate is massive cherry character, joined by a ton of almond, plus cinnamon, nutmeg, oak, chocolate cake and brown sugar.
Long finish with loads of cherry and almond once more, joined by cinnamon sugar, chocolate shavings and a pop of bubblegum.
This is a delightfully decadent bourbon that's rich and super dessert-forward. If cherry and chocolate are your jam, this has you covered in spades.
