Penderyn Legend is a Welsh single malt whisky made at the Penderyn Distillery in the village of Penderyn, located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales. It is aged first in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in ex-Madeira wine casks. The whisky is bottled at 40% ABV and sells for around $45-59.
More aggressively wine-doused on the palate, notes of coconut meat, lemon curd, and almond nougat all interplay well together, leading to a finish that is moderately grassy and touched with oak.
