Partida Tequila Cristalino Añejo is distilled at Autentica Tequilera in Jalisco, Mexico, from blue agave. This expression aged for 18 months in American oak casks that previously held Jack Daniel's and is filtered to achieve a crystal-clear appearance.
Altogether I was expecting more complexity from this spirit, but it’s definitely well made and enjoyable enough despite being a relatively straightforward experience.
Unlike many Cristalinos, particularly añejo or extra añejo bottles, this expression highlights the spices from the barrel without much of the sweetness from the bourbon which it once held.
