  • It tasted like pretty good Heaven Hill whiskey, but we all know there’s plenty of that around at far less than $130 per bottle.

  • Nose:

Big, bold, creamy sweetness. Maple candies, waffle batter, honey and caramel. Light oak and char on the nose, some pepper, ethanol and a final dollop of brown butter.

  • Taste:

Moderate mouthfeel. Fiery at first, calms down with a 10 minute rest. Sweet cream, honey, butter, maple candies and werthers caramels. Bold oak structure that keeps the dessert components in check. Light cherry note.

  • Finish:

Long finish, sweet and savory, bold and powerful. Maple, oak, tobacco, cherry and char. Lovely.

  • Overall:

Certainly not meek, and it's great to see Wheat Whiskey getting more attention for its strengths in the industry. This Wheat Whiskey has all the goods.
