  • Nose:

On the nose, this expression is beautifully, well balanced and packed with rich desserty flavors, spice and a bit of fruit. Peanut brittle and graham cracker crust meet buttermilk, gingerbread, butterscotch, Samoa cookies, tapioca, clove, ricecakes, cherry danish, fig.

  • Taste:

Very nice palate. A nice amount of oak is joined by more peanut brittle, chocolate-covered cherries, cinnamon, gingerbread, tannin, caramel, orange peel, peaches and cream, clove and leather.

  • Finish:

The finish brings a hefty dose of oak and plenty of spice — cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and anise — plus orange zest.

  • Overall:

A lovely, nuanced and balanced rye whiskey that's rich, deep and delicious. This is tremendous, beautiful stuff.

  • Score:

    93
