Old Forester Extra Extra Old is a straight bourbon produced at the Brown-Forman Shively Distillery. It has a mashbill of 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley. The bourbon has a proof of 93 and is aged for at least four years.
. As with 1910 Extra Old, this is still a top-shelf expression that’s available for a song. If you missed last year’s 117, this is highly worth picking up.
Another 6 months in the barrels helps tease out rich sweet flavors, however Extra Extra Old shows that this experiment may be butting up against the maximum amount of time to continue to age Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whiskey.
