Old Elk Infinity Blend 2023 is a limited release whiskey produced in Fort Collins, Colorado. The blend combines 15.3% of the 2022 Infinity Blend with 40% high-malt bourbon aged eight years, 43.2% straight wheat whiskey aged seven years, and 1.5% straight wheat whiskey aged 10 years. Bottled at 57.575% ABV, it is available in 750ml bottles with a suggested retail price of $150.
Pineapple, unbaked dough, and light walnut and pistachio nuttiness on the nose. A creamy palate, with white pepper, some malty notes, and sweet orange slices. The mid-length finish follows suit.
There’s a bit of the wheat whiskey breadiness here on the palate as well, but there’s enough maturity in the overall blend for the caramelized sugars to really steal the show. Overall, it’s a tad on the desserty side, but very satisfying.
