Released in April 2025, This is the flagship four-grain bourbon from the Charlotte, North Carolina-based Oaklore Distilling Co. According to the brand, it was crafted by Oaklore at its sister distilleries in Kentucky and North Carolina and bottled in North Carolina. The blend is made up of 5- and 6-year-old ryed and wheated bourbons that were distilled on 24-inch Vendome copper column stills. After initial aging, the barrels were blended and then re-barreled for 8-12 months before bottling. The final mashbill is 72% corn, 11% wheat, 10% rye and 7% malted barley. It's bottled at 92 proof and priced at $69.99.

Classic bourbon on the nose; sweet and well balanced: butterscotch, frosted gingerbread, orange peel and strawberry jam
Moderate mouthfeel. The palate is pleasant and rich: butterscotch again, plus vanilla cake, espresso, toffee, raisin bread, cherry. A nice presence of oak in the background.
The finish is quick, with a bit more rye spice than the palate. Sweet birthday cake meets mocha, banana pudding, cinnamon roll, gingerbread and cherry.
The first expression I've tasted from Oaklore impresses me mightily. It's flavorful, well-balanced and legitimately delicious. It doesn't overwhelm with complexity by any means, but damn is it tasty. I wish it were proofed a bit higher, but this bourbon is a standout that has me really excited the future of a brand that's new to me.
