Oak & Eden Bourbon & Vine is a wine-finished bourbon made with a mashbill of corn, rye and malted barley. It is distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and aged for a minimum of two years in new American oak barrels. At bottling, a 5-inch French oak spire, steeped in Marker Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon for eight weeks, is added for secondary in-bottle finishing. Bottled at 90 proof, it retails for around $59.99. The Bourbon & Vine is part of Oak & Eden's Infused Series, which explores different types of wood and infusions.

  • Overall, this is one of the better wine finished whiskeys I have had. I think this one will only get better the longer the Spire sits is in the bottle.

  • The taste is a touch sweet at first then spice driven and with a drying, chewy profile. Finish is bitter and short-lived.

  • Most I’ve had before were not as smooth or as sweet. I feel like this could be a great sipping whiskey for people, especially red wine lovers.
