King of Casks 35 Years Old Shop Exclusive is a blended malt Scotch whisky bottled by Murray McDavid to mark a retailer’s 15th anniversary. Distilled in 1989 and matured for 35 years, the Speyside whisky spent most of its life in an ex-bourbon hogshead before a three-month finish in an Oloroso sherry octave. Bottled in 2025 at natural cask strength of 49.5% ABV, it is non-chill filtered with no added color. According to the producer, tasting notes include orchard fruit, baked apple and pear on the nose; sweet malt, citrus and honey on the palate; and apricot, fruit loaf and oak spice on the finish. The release typically retails for around £195 (about $250).
