  • As exciting as the original Single Estate Series 23_01 was, 24_02 really raises the bar and shows this series coming into its own. It’s easily one of the top rums of the year.

  • Nose:

Rich and sticky on the nose, loaded with maple, brown sugar, turbinado, red grapes, tobacco, horehound, anise and decadent candied ginger.

  • Taste:

Rich on the palate. Delightfully rich, layered, textured. Honey, buttercream, toffee, candied ginger, cracked pepper, some banana, pear and white grape. Touch of tar, slate, papaya funk.

  • Finish:

Long finish. Mildly oaky, rich and full of maple, funky pear, more white grape, candied ginger and a crackle of pepper and light oak.

  • Overall:

Masterful and complex, this is silly good and full of character. Nicely done Mount Gay.
