  • Michter’s 25 Year Old Bourbon 2017 is in no way a subtle sipper, but it’s not exactly what I would call bold and ballsy either. At 116.2 proof, it packs big, well-balanced flavors garnished by sometimes unusual, always modest notes, and those manages to show some sophistication in that big-but-understated personality.

  • The latest version of Michter’s 25 year old is, simply put, one of the most flavorful American whiskeys I’ve had in recent memory.

  • Apparently, in the right hands, with the right juice aging in the right barrels under the right conditions, a bourbon can continue to improve for two and a half decades. Bottom line: It's hard for me to imagine a bourbon more complex, more interesting or more satisfying.
