  • It's quite thick and rich, and likes a big ice cube not only to soften the heat, but also mesh the flavors together.

  • You don’t expect sweetness, but it’s here, and lasting. If it has a weakness, it loses its intensity about mid-palate, but rebounds with a healthy medium-length finish.

  • Maybe I'd be happier with it after it spent a few more years chilling out; I just don't need that much booze in my booze, especially when it doesn't yet have the richness to balance out the burn.

  • The finish is long and slightly sweet with molasses, black cherries, and lingering spices.

  • It’s a whiskey with lots of elements, facets, and complexity, moving from savory to sweet and back again. It’s a spirit that has a story to tell — and I recommend you hear it at least once.

  • Complex and echoing with rounded vanilla and allspice, it stands up to plenty of dilution, and finishes on a hint of almond.

  • It's a nice unique profile that focuses more on caramel, clove, cocoa and some nice tobacco in the profile.

  • Nose:

Brown sugar, molasses, toffee and cocoa. Tobacco, pepper, caramel. Complex, quite a bit going on.

  • Taste:

Burnt brown sugar, heavy clove, rye spice, cocoa, tobacco, black pepper. Tons going on - creme brulee, bold rye spice, toffee and a pecan pie note on the back palate.

  • Finish:

Medium, spice heavy, lots of cocoa and caramel. Root beer candies, toffee and a delightful symphony of oak, honey, caramel and baking spice.

  • Overall:

I liked this more than I remember. It's a nice unique profile that focuses more on caramel, clove, cocoa and some nice tobacco in the profile. I don't know what it goes for $ wise but I thoroughly enjoyed the sample I had.
