Mezcales De Leyenda Guerrero Mezcal is produced in Guerrero, Mexico, from cupreata agave. The agave is cooked for three days in an underground oven lined with lava rocks and heated by an oak fire. It is then fermented in a wooden vat and distilled in a copper still.
This mezcal instantly evokes memories of the day after a California wildfire. Quite sweet on the tongue and true to the nose with a very lively mouthfeel and pleasant bitterness. The finish is very long and sweet with a gentle heat and bitterness while the smoke lingers through the whole experience.
