Distilled in Vaughan, Ontario, at Last Straw Distillery, Mandakini Spiced Vaatte is an unaged spirit made from sugarcane extract and infused with ginger and cardamom. The spirit is long-fermented and pot-distilled. It draws influences from Kerala’s 400-year-old toddy-making traditions and the botanical heritage of Hortus Malabaricus, a 17th-century treatise on the region’s flora.
