Distilled by Torino Distillati and distributed by Biggar & Leith, Malfy gin is an italian gin. This specific expression focuses on lemon and juniper, with a blend of other botanicals thrown in. The lemon used during infusion is of type sfusato, grown on the Amalfi Coast, which is known for producing some of the best in the world.
Clear in the glass, this flavored gin, made with Italian lemons, offers gentle lemon and grapefruit peel aromas. The bracing, lightly sweet palate has a nicely authentic lemon flavor, with hints of peel and pith, finishing appropriately bitter. Skip the lemon twist, and mix into Martinis and other drinks.
I really like this, and I think its great in cocktails. Its a little hotter than I think it should be, though, but I enjoy that if I'm searching for this profile....I can easily find it.
Lemon in all sorts of forms. A box of lemon head candy, Pine Sol, yellow licorice, and fresh lemon zest. The palate is short lived and dominated by the artificial lemon candy taste.
Fans of contemporary style, citrus forward gins, meet your new best (gin) friend. While I think fans of classic styles might find the focus too narrow or there to be not enough juniper, I think the attention to detail and elevating one fairly traditional gin botanical to these sort of heights deserves some merit. I’ll be sipping this Gin and Tonic all summer if I can. Highly Recommended.
Malfy Gin (con Limone) is an excellent lemon flavoured gin. While I normally prefer my gin to be juniper forward, I found I really appreciated the clean lemon forward flavour this gin presents.

Nose:
Huge citrus. Confectioners sugar, honey, lemon, lime, orange peel, light papaya. All fruits. Mild juniper, if any.
Taste:
Medium mouth feel. Mild and sweet. Vanilla, confectioners sugar, lemon, lime, light sweetness.
Finish:
Short, a bit hot, but nice overall. Sweet, lots of citrus, some papaya and then pew, it gone.
Overall:
I really like this, and I think its great in cocktails. Its a little hotter than I think it should be, though, but I enjoy that if I'm searching for this profile....I can easily find it.
