  • These Private Selects from Maker's Mark have such a high floor and an even higher ceiling for quality and this selection is among my favorites in recent years, layering together opulent sweetness and balancing spice with ease.

  • Nose:

Rich and sweet, brown butter, toffee, cinnamon and sugar toast, light cocoa and cream together on the nose - it's a fat stack of dessert all day long.

  • Taste:

Rich on the palate, there's pleasant viscosity and plentiful savory and sweet layers: butter cream and butter scotch give way to French Oak spice, cinnamon, toffee and some brown butter and nougat. Gorgeous cherry cordials

  • Finish:

Long finish, much heavier on the baking spicer here with tons of sweet cream, clove, cinnamon and a hint of cracked pepper and maple.

  • Overall:

These Private Selects from Maker's Mark have such a high floor and an even higher ceiling for quality and this selection is among my favorites in recent years, layering together opulent sweetness and balancing spice with ease.
