Maker's Mark Cellar Aged 2024 is a blend of 15% 12-year-old bourbon and 85% 13-year-old bourbon, bottled at 59.7% ABV. It matured in the distillery's limestone cellar, a temperature-controlled environment that maintains around 50 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. This whiskey hosts a suggested retail price of $175. This is the second release of Maker's Mark Cellar Aged, with 2023's being the inaugural offering.

  • Maker’s Mark set a high bar with 2023’s Cellar Aged release. I’m impressed with this latest version, which eclipses its predecessor by just a hair.

  • Nose:

    Huge rich nose that’s full of parchment, toffee, black tea, sweet cream, muted pepper, lovely honey and layers and layers of caramel, and brown sugar.

  • Taste:

    Heavy on the palate, viscous and powerful with lots of oak, layers of toffee, more tea, dusty sweetness, brown sugar, a hint of ginger and more oak.

  • Finish:

    Long finish that’s a smooth, sweet, layered finish and transition, full of caramels, honey, more sweet tea, strong oak and tons of black tea and brown sugar.

  • Overall:

    A lovely release from Maker’s that demonstrates the Maker’s take on extra aged whiskey, and I love it.
