  • Overall, I think that Madre Mezcal Artesanal Ensamble Flask is a truly special mezcal. The flavors really took me on a journey – both when sipped and inside a cocktail. I was blown away! This bottle gets an easy 5 stars, and I highly recommend it to folks looking for a good mezcal joven.

  • The finish feels perhaps a bit overripe, with some greenness around the edges that leads to a touch of astringency on the fade-out, but that’s a fairly minor complaint against a product that is otherwise a stellar example of a punchier style of mezcal.

  • On the palate, smoke and spice create a robust flavour explosion, harmonizing beautifully with oak and a hint of salty generality.
