Macaloney’s The Peat Project Sugar Kelp Infused Peat Single Malt Whisky is made at Macaloney’s Island Distillery on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Distilled from local barley peat-smoked to 54 ppm with Washington State peat infused with sugar-kelp seaweed, it’s matured in Dr. Jim Swan’s Portuguese red wine Shave-Toast-Rechar barriques and bottled at 46% ABV.
