Luzhou Laojiao is a Chinese baijiu produced at China's oldest continuously operating distillery, established in 1573 in Sichuan Province. The ancient distillery dates back to 1573 and today, is the oldest continuously producing baijiu distillery in the world. It is a complex, premium baijiu of the "strong aroma" (nóngxiāng) class. It is a strongly alcoholic (more than 50% alcohol), clear liquid with a sharp aroma of fermented peaches. The Bainian expression is bottled at 52% ABV and sells for around $60.
