Luca Mariano Old Americana Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon is produced in partnership with Wilderness Trail Distillery and bottled at 83 proof. Aged at least four years in American white oak casks, it uses a high-rye mash bill.
I am not very much sold on this. The finish was the most impressive part of the tasting. The nose is simple and the palate is dull for sipping it neat despite the vanilla sweetness. I can see that increasing the proof can solve some of these issues. I believe this bourbon can be a nice base for a sweet and sour cocktail.
