  • It’s a very good representation of Beam’s flavor profile in a blend that marries the pros of both younger and older bourbon, mostly without a hitch.

  • All told, this is a versatile — and very powerful — base to build from, though the current iteration may come across as surprisingly sweet to some consumers.

  • An unusual direction for Little Book but it’s a great one. Lovely and full of complexity. A total winner.

  • I have no issues recommending this bottle for the price it’s at (around $200). That might seem steep, but it delivers an experience that’s on par with the Hardin’s Creek releases, limited editions of Booker’s and even the slightly obscure hits like Jim Beam’s Bardstown Collection.

  • Nose:

Warm and toasty on the nose, lots of baked bread, toffee, cracked pepper, some light fruit and red berries, pepper and baking spice, nice heavy oak

  • Taste:

Rich on the palate, pleasant and full of heather, honey, tobacco, leather and pepper. Rich and loaded with character, nice oak character here with a tough of peanut brittle.

  • Finish:

Long finish, melon sweetness, vanilla bean, graham cracker, toffee, bitter oak and lovely tobacco.

  • Overall:

An unusual direction for Little Book but it’s a great one. Lovely and full of complexity. A total winner.
